How to create a spa-like bathroom to ‘Relax. Refresh. Rejuvenate’.

The bathroom plays a huge role in our life, it’s typically the first room you go into when you wake up and the last before your head hits the pillow in the bedroom. It’s where we often look at ourselves in the mirror and quite often somewhere we go to as an escape to unwind and relax with a bath or a shower or some self-care.

It’s also a place where we combine our daily habits, such as a skincare routine and oral hygiene. By having some order in your bathroom, you can create a thoughtful daily routine so here are a few of my ideas for creating wellness in your home bathroom.

With endless material options to choose from it can be hard to know where to even start.

By using natural materials it can make a room look fantastic and allows a luxurious classical finish. You may fear natural materials cost more but they are much more sustainable and wear well which reduces the need to replace them.  Natural materials such as marble, stone, granite, and wood can help create a healthy home that looks and feels good not to mention more sustainable and better for the environment.

Walk-in showers provide a much more luxurious and relaxing showering experience than traditional showers due to the open plan space and modern design. By installing a rainfall shower head with adjustable settings for a luxurious showering experience you can create that spa wellness feeling at home.

One thing to consider is a shower niche they are the perfect storage area for your favorite showering products and help keep the shower floor clear.

To make these the correct size first you must make sure they will fit the bottles you tend to use, if you are not undergoing any construction, you can simply add open shelves to the corner before resorting to a shower caddy.

Think about what type of storage or furniture you require for your bathroom and base it on what will help you with your daily routine.

Consider how many people you need storage for, I like to use dividers in every drawer and have little compartments so I can easily find things when I am in a hurry. Store your go-to items in the top drawer for easy access. I keep a little tray near my sink with my daily moisturizer, serum, and a little aromatherapy pulse point oil.

Towel radiators are another great way for hanging towels or you can always fix hooks to the backs of doors or empty wall space this can offer you somewhere to hang your towels or possibly some hanging plants or wall baskets.

It doesn’t have to cost a fortune to add storage and have a little bathroom décor update!

Which can enhance your space by adding nice new neutral towels, bath mats, mirrors, candles, plants, or a simple wall paint refresh it’s about the core desire to feel beautiful on the inside and out and to have a space that will bring forth an organised spa-like experience in your bathroom.
